Juneberry is known by many names, and is a beloved and hardy native North American fruit shrub. It is a resilient and generous plant, bearing delicious berries with little coaxing. Because of these attributes it can be seen as a symbol of rebirth and resilience.
Juneberry (serviceberry) branches now adorn two walls of a staff only hallway at Pine Rest. Keeping in theme with the treehouse theme of the rest of the facility, these colorful branches are meant to deliver a bit of respite for staff.
